Dewar has established a reputation for providing Industrial Site Services including scaffold, insulation, civil construction and supporting trades to mechanical & electrical contractors as well as specializing in heavily contaminated abatements including demolitions and providing complex project solutions.

OUR HISTORY
The Dewar name has been known in the Canadian Construction Industry since 1957 when Dewar Insulations was founded by Ian Dewar. Over the next 30 years Ian was involved in various businesses under the Dewar Group of Companies operating across Canada and Internationally, building a reputation through many successful projects and partnerships, before successfully turning the company over to the leadership of Scott Dewar in the 1990’s.
Starting as a Joint Venture in 2000, Crossby Dewar Projects was formed to offer industrial site services within the Canadian nuclear industry and in 2006 became Crossby Dewar Inc. Crossby Dewar expanded its service offerings within the Power Generation, Industrial, Commercial and Institutional markets.
As we move through 2020, Crossby Dewar will be rebranding as Dewar Industrial Services Inc. continuing to build on our reputation for performance in offering industrial site services under the Dewar Group of Companies with a more focused vision for our customers.

We are a proven leader in Health, Safety & Human Performance. Our safety officers are certified to the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) program. We have a strong reputation of continuous improvement, not only based on our experience, but also the evolving industry best practices. We have had several major safety milestones for hours worked without a lost time injury including multiple Million Hour milestones for hours worked without a lost time injury, highlighted by a 4 Million Hour milestone on a single project.
Our safety program is certified to Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001 standard as well as the Certificate of Recognition (COR) program.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Our Integrated Management System (IMS) includes our business processes as well as regulatory, standard and code requirements. The program includes elements such as contract management, corporate risk mitigation, to how we inspect materials we receive in the field.
This program is accredited with an ISO 9001:2015 certification and meets the applicable requirement standards of both N299.2 Quality Assurance Program Requirements for the Supply of Items & Services to Nuclear Power Plants and N286-12 Management System Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants.
